Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account data: name, email, password, role (talent or employer).
• Profile data: military background (optional), location, work preferences, and similar fields you choose to provide.
• Assessment data: responses to scenarios, scores, and the Skill Passport we generate from them.
• Employer data: company information, job postings, and candidate outreach.
• Support communications: messages you send to us.

Information collected automatically

• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, and basic analytics.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from identity or verification providers (for example, when confirming military service) and from employers who invite you to apply.

2. How we use information

• Operate the Service, including authentication and account management.
• Generate and display your Skill Passport and match you with opportunities.
• Allow employers to evaluate and contact candidates through the Service.
• Improve the platform, including assessment quality and scoring.
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
• Meet legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect against fraud or abuse.

3. How we share information

• With employers. When you apply or opt into the talent pool, relevant profile and assessment data is visible to employers you interact with.
• With service providers. We rely on vendors for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and similar functions. They process data on our behalf under contractual protections.
• For legal reasons. We may share data to comply with law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PowerTechs, our users, or others.
• In a business transfer. If PowerTechs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information.

4. Your choices and rights

• Access and update. You can view and edit most of your information from within your account.
• Delete. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@powertechs.us.
• Control sharing. You can decide whether to opt into the talent pool and whether to share your Skill Passport publicly.
• Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g. access, portability, correction, objection). Contact us to exercise them.

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us at support@powertechs.us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After deletion, we may keep limited records required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. International data transfers

PowerTechs is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Where required, we put in place safeguards that align with applicable data protection laws.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or a prominent in-product notice) and update the "Last updated" date above.
